People's actions impact our worlds drinkable water supply.
What I found out is that in Australia The water usage is 89 gallons. per person per day. What I Thought about this was that a small amount compared to us because we use 110 gallons of water.
What we did is we tested water in our outdoor habitats to see if it was good for the environment. My group tested for dissolved oxygen. We were testing to see if my results were 4-8 ppm (parts per million). Our results came in and they were 2 ppm this told us that is was deadly. My final thought was that it is not good that it is very deadly because our results are to low.
Safari park (Soar) reflection
One new fact that I learned that I found interesting is that in the park that they test their water to see if it had anything bad but the thing I found interesting of this is that they have to do this once in awhile like maybe one week then the other week and we only cheeked ours one time.
What I enjoyed to go to the safari park is that we got to pet the goats. I liked this part because when we were petting them some were very gentle and some were very soft. On one I petted it felt very good because his fur was so soft.

Splash lab reflection
In the splash lab I learned that when people put fertilizer in their plants and they are a lot far away from the ocean the fertilizer is going to find it’s way to the ocean, lakes, streams because when it rains the water get’s off the plants it goes of to a run off and it turns out to come to the ocean and this is called a run-off.
What Was related to our topic of water is that in planet earth we only have
1 % of water left that is fresh water this relates because we were learning that we need to conserve water because the water won’t last forever.

Dana point reflection
What I found interesting was the fish dissection. What I found interesting about this was that our fish was all bloody and the others was not as bloody as my groups (Edmar,Belen Valentina). Maybe it could have been that we kept on taking its guts out/its heart.
What I learned while on land is that not all plants and animals use the same water. What I mean by this is that there are different kinds of water for ex cold water and not cold water, contaminated and not contaminated, dirty and not dirty fresh water from the sink and water from the ocean.
What I learned on the boat is that you can hear sound like echolocation thru your chin. What I mean by this is that our instructor on the boat had this fork and when he banged them together you could hear it thru the bottom of the fork and the bottom of my chin.
A way that people’s actions affect the marine (ocean) ecosystem is by throwing trash in the ocean I actually have evidence from this because when I was I was in the boat I saw a whole bunch of trash Ex cheeto bags, and soda cans.
Something that can apply to my life is that when we use music we can feel the vibrations and that I like echolocation. Someway I can help my ocean is by not littering that. We can help it’s ecosystem by not polluting. We can help our water system by not taking a lot of showers by not wasting it by using it properly. Also we can help if we have a bucket of water like we can recycle it by labeling like this bucket of water is for washing hands this one is for washing dishes.
